Aiden Sidebottom

Research Associate – Jill Dando Institute of Crime Science

Aiden is a research associate and PhD candidate. His primary research interests include problem-oriented policing and crime prevention evaluation. Since joining the JDI in September 2006, Aiden has worked on various projects including a series of evaluations of design-based interventions to reduce crime, an ESRC-commissioned study modelling offender variations in journey to crime, a Government Office for London project examining the extent of problem solving in London and research exploring copper cable theft from the British Railway Network.

Aiden’s PhD is concerned with the effective delivery of healthcare in insecure environments. Specifically, how environmental criminology and situational crime prevention might contribute to improving the security and efficiency of health systems.
